I have a diverse range of life experiences which includes an enlistment in the US Army as a Counter-Intelligence Agent, a short stint as a uniformed police officer working for the Hanover Police Department and 25 + years as a General Manager working in the movie theater environment. Since March 2018, I have worked in the private security arena having completed assignments which encompassed armed uniformed and plains clothes protection details and general security events. I also worked one ComicCon event in Baltimore, MD last summer as a security officer and escorted event celebrities to and from designated scheduling points. I deployed to Los Angeles in the Summer 1992, during the Rodney King riots and spent 10 days on the ground in the aftermath of the court verdict on police brutality having rode with police officers into many of the burned out neighborhoods.
My background includes training and working on threat assessments, background investigations and subsequent report writing, surveillance, physical security and uniformed police functions. I have held positions where I supervised up to 60 people including Assistant Managers, Maintenance staff and general employees while working with and coordinating with corporate staff and vendor personnel. I also was a District Manager supervising 14 separate buildings and approximately 500 staff for two years while working for Regal Cinemas in Central Virginia.
