My name is Donna Powers. I was born and raised in Fairfield PA. I am the youngest of 6 children. I have four children 3 daughters and 1 son all adults. Two are in college, one married with 2 children and one working for an attorney’s office in Harrisburg PA. My passion is horses. I have three quarter horses, Peaches, Rosco and Harley. A great way for me to decompress is spending time with my horses. I also have one dog DD Lee. She is 4 YOA. I have 3 cats, Bootsie, Bobo and Bubbles.
My work experience is 29 years as Adams County 911 Coordinator Gettysburg Penna., 2 years Adams County Probation and 20 as a police officer at Gettysburg Police Department Gettysburg PA. I was a K-9 officer for 10 of those years.
For 8 years I was the Adams County Law Enforcement Training Coordinator. I established and coordinated the training of over 800 Law Enforcement of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. Our main focus was active shooter training in not only schools but all establishments.
My education is I have a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice Administration & Management through Purdue University with a 4.0 GPA. I graduated in 1993 at the Pennsylvania Police Academy from Shippensburg University, sponsored by Indiana University of Pennsylvania.
